Pupil Deprivation Grant – Looked After Children
Interested in applying for PDG funding?
The purpose of the Pupil Development Grant funding is to make a lasting impact on outcomes for looked after children or formally looked after children. Overall administration and coordination of the grant resides with GwE as the Education Consortia for North Wales.
GwE will continue to coordinate the work across the region via:
- Professional Development Offer – information available in G6.
- Individual bursary for leaners – in collaboration with local authorities.
- Opportunity to attend local meetings / l networking via your local authority
- Cluster /School to School applications – GwE have developed a method for local cluster schools/partner schools to apply for the grant directly. The guidance and application form below outlines the grant guidance for the Pupil Development Grant (PDG) for children who are / who have been looked after across the region and the range of support and provision under 5 key headings that would be eligible for funding. The grant cannot be used to fund statutory provision. You will also need to ensure that all applications forms are shared with your local authorities’ Looked after Children’s Coordinator.

All applications will be discussed within a regional panel board before the end of summer term.
